A Tragic Story With a Miraculous Ending

Troy Newman called this July regarding a young woman who wanted to help us put Abortionist Romeo Ferrer out of business for good.  Her story is shocking, but shows how the hand of God can move through our lives at even our most desperate moments.

Jackie Crouch and her husband Sam were faced with an unplanned pregnancy in February 2009.  They were already blessed with a beautiful baby girl named Trinity who was just 2 years old at the time.

The recession had reduced Sam’s work as an electrician to barely part time, and Jackie had been laid off from her job.  They were desperate, already on public assistance, and felt like they were out of options. Tragically, they made the decision to terminate her pregnancy, and kill their precious unborn child.

Jackie was grief stricken over their decision, but felt there was no other way for the family to survive.  She did not know about any of the many resources available out there to help pregnant women and their unborn children.

Sadly, she turned to Abortionist Romeo Ferrer to end her pregnancy. She called his office, asked a lot of questions, and even researched him on the internet.

Jackie couldn’t find one negative thing about Ferrer or his 20 year Reign of Terror.  She never even knew of the 21 year old mother who had died from a botched abortion at the hands of Romeo Ferrer in 2006. (Thankfully, the website www.RetireFerrer.com now comes up #1 on Google when you search for Romeo Ferrer, and contains a detailed list of his Reign of Terror over the last 30 years!)

Jackie went in on March 6, 2009 for a suction DNC abortion.  Ferrer and his assistants assured her the procedure went well and the pregnancy was terminated.  She went back on March 20th and Ferrer performed an internal exam, gave her a full release, and confirmed the pregnancy was terminated.

The next 3 months for Jackie and Sam were literally a living hell.  She was consumed with guilt, shame, and remorse, and suffered from terrible depression over her abortion.  Her decision to kill her pre-born child almost caused her to end her marriage as well.

But here is where God came in….. and He had a different plan!

Three months after the abortion Jackie was experiencing severe abdominal pain.  She went to the emergency room at Baltimore Washington Hospital on May 7, 2009.  The doctors gave her a full exam, including a sonogram…. and they gave her the miraculous news.

She was almost 5 months pregnant with a healthy baby girl. It was as though the hand of God protected her unborn child from Ferrer’s instruments of death.

Jackie and Sam were both overwhelmed at the news that their child had been spared.  Although some family and friends encouraged her to have another abortion, Jackie realized her baby was sparred for a higher purpose.

Jackie gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on October 3, 2009. Amazingly, the baby had not been harmed in any way from Ferrer’s attempted abortion.

Her name is Patience!

The last year has been an emotional rollercoaster for Jackie and Sam. They are overjoyed that their beautiful baby girl was sparred, and they both cherish every moment with Patience.

However, Jackie is still experiencing a tremendous amount of guilt. Every time she holds her daughter and looks into her innocent eyes, she realizes she almost killed her own child.

We set her up with Pam Palumbo and Pregnancy Clinic Ministry to do some grief & abortion recovery counseling.  The initial session went so well, Jackie has even agreed to help counsel women who are considering abortion.

Amazingly, Jackie will be participating in the Severna Park Pregnancy Clinic Walk for Life and the 40 Days for Life Conference & Kickoff on September 18th.  I hope you can join us for both these events to meet this remarkable young lady and her daughter, Patience.

This experience has been a life changing event for Jackie and Sam. Jackie has become adamantly Pro-Life, and is even working with us to help revoke Romeo Ferrer's license by filing a complaint with the Maryland Board of Physicians.

She will also be working with Nancy Paltell and the Maryland Catholic Conference to testify on key bills during the Maryland legislation session next spring.

Can you imagine the courage it takes for a young woman to come forward, go public with her story, and be willing to testify before the House of Delegates and Senate committees?

This last year has not only been an emotional roller coaster for Jackie and Sam, but it has been extremely difficult financially.

Sam had been working for a local electrical contractor for the last several years.  This summer they closed their doors due to the effects of the recession and the housing crash.

Jackie experienced some nerve damage during the delivery of her daughter, and has been out of work for most of the past six months.  This has given her time to be a full time mom to her two girls, and bond with them, and even help overcome the some of the guilt that remains from her decision to get an abortion.  Sadly, they are still on public assistance, and with Sam losing his job, they are at risk of losing their place to live.

I desperately need your help with four things!

FIRST WAY YOU CAN HELP

Pray for Jackie, Sam, and their two girls.  They need God’s strength, Christ’s healing, and guidance from the Holy Spirit.

SECOND WAY YOU CAN HELP

Can you donate some clothes, diapers, shoes, or perhaps a winter coat for little Patience?  Jackie and Sam are barely getting by, and with Sam losing his job, they desperately need our help.  Here are the sizes for little Patience:

Clothes 12 month (fall) or 18 month (winter)
Shoes (size 5)
Diapers (size 4)

THIRD WAY YOU CAN HELP

We are taking up a cash collection to help them with their expenses and the cost of raising their daughters.

100% of everything you contribute online in the next 30 days will be going to Jackie and her family.

All you have to do is click on the DEFEND LIFE PayPal Donate link on this email and your donation will go directly to help Sam, Jackie, Trinity, and Patience.

Can you help make sure the girls have food to eat and their electricity does not get cut off?

You can also drop your donations off at either of the two following locations on September 18th:

FORTH AND FINAL WAY YOU CAN HELP

Lastly, I have attached a copy of Jackie’s resume.  She desperately needs a job and truly wants to get off public assistance.  She knows that Patience was sparred from a horrific death from ABORTION for a reason, and Jackie wants to be the best mother and provider she can and God continues to unfold this incredible miracle.

Please look her resume over and see if you can use someone with her skills in your office.  She is a wonderfully courageous young lady who desperately wants to go back to work.  God has fully restored her health over the last six months, and she will make and excellent employee for someone who is willing to give her a chance.

I hope everyone will carefully read this email, Pray over its contents, and take action to help Sam, Jackie, Trinity, and Patience.

The Pro-Life community has a tremendous opportunity to reach out to this precious little baby and show her our compassion and gratitude that God Himself saved her from a torturous death by ABORTION.
